The Clone Wars toy line figures are representations of the characters as seen in the TV show.and because of this you will find bigger weapons with action features included with the figures.

As there are so many slightly different action figures it can become confusing and difficult to know what figures are available and so l have attempted to make a simple Clone Wars action figure list and identification guide.

Gauging the price of Star Wars The Clone Wars action figures prices for figures not in production can be difficult and so l will try to give links to auctions selling the figures and you should watch a few auctions to ascertain a fair price. There is a large second market for clone wars figures and a number of specialist dealers.

2008 Clone Wars Identification

The Clone Wars action figure toy line began in 2008 with the blue and white packaging and red cardbacks.

The figures were released in five batches commonly known as waves throughout the year and collectors use the Year, the Wave and lastly the Code to describe the different figures, for example the figure to the left is 2008 Wave 4 No. 19: Clone Trooper (212th Attack Battalion)

Surprisingly for such a well detailed and articulated action figures it took a while for the line to be successful, but by Christmas 2008 the action figures had begun to gain in popularity and some of the main characters like Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous, Yoda and Ashoka were hard to come by.

2009 Clone Wars Identification

Hasbro released a second version of Star Wars Clone Wars action figure in 2009, and a third in 2010, many of the same figures were produced with subtle differences.

The 2009 Basic Figures 2009 came in White & Red Packaging.
This was a busy year for Hasbro with 9 Waves released and also a number of figure were repackaged (known as repacks).
Hasbro released 50 figure in this year, and also altered the description numbers prefixing the numbers with CW for Clone Wars.
So for example the figure to the right is Star Wars2009 Clone Wars Wave 08 CW44 Clone Commander Stone

2010 Clone Wars Identification

The latest Clone Wars action figure toy line is the 2010 edition this comes with the blue and black packaging.

Upto now there have been five Waves released throughout the year with 37 characters released.
In a slightly confusing move Hasbro started the prefix from CW01 again for the 2010 releases. So the figure to the left is Star Wars 2010 Clone Wars Wave 0.5 (Repack) CW01: Captain Rex

The latest 2010 Clone Wars figures is probably the easiest place to start collecting, with the newly released figures being in production you should be guaranteed very keen prices.
