Jackie's Favorite Cloth Diapers

and the list keeps on growing :)

BumGenius Cloth Diapers
My newest favorite Diaper. These are a pocket diaper, much like Fuzzi Bunz, but they are velcro closure instead of snaps. They have stretchy tabs for a close fit. They are also one size which means they will fit from birth to potty training. We love them.
Bumkins All in One Cloth Diapers
These are my favorite all-in-ones at this point. I bought a few on ebay (pretty cheap) and I have never had a leak. They are great for dads and grandparents. Just like a disposable, but cloth. :0
Fuzzi Bunz Pocket Diaper
Fuzzi Bunz are my night time diaper. When we first started using them I had some leaking and I think they were just a little too big, and I tucked the seam in. (later found out that's a no no) Now we use them at night because the magic of fleece, even when she's wet she feels dry. We have had no leaks since she's gotten a little bit bigger.
Chinese Prefold Cloth Diapers
Chinese prefolds are our mainstay. These are the cheapest I've found anywhere on the web and they are lasting just wonderfully.
Prorap Diaper Covers
These are the wraps we use. They are sturdy and dry really quick just hanging in the bathroom. You can get seconds from the company for half price. I can't see what's made them seconds. :)1-800-397-8594
Prorap Colors Diaper Covers
Now my favorite Diaper Cover comes in colors. Pink, Mint and blue. Sizes medium and larger also have a baby proof buckle on the cover itself. :)

BumGenius Cloth Diapers

These are my favorite cloth diapers and what we use on Hanna

PhotobucketThese cloth diapers are so easy. Just make sure you get inserts to go with them. When I finish washing these cloth diapers, I just put in an insert and fold them in half. I then put them in the basket we keep them in, all ready to go when I need one. BumGenius Cloth Diapers are very simple, very absorbant, and cute! They are velcro closure which I really like. Hanna will NOT sit still long enough for me to get snaps done. They are also a one size pocket diaper which means they are adjustable and last from birth to potty training. We've been using our batch for the almost two years now and they are still as good as the first day I bought them.

Bumkins All in One Cloth Diapers

I got my first bumkins on ebay. They were a steal! Great quality and we are still using them! I particularly like the Bumkins all in ones because of the design. The middle is only connected at the ends so air can travel all around them while they are in the dryer. This allows them to dry much quicker than any other AIO I have used. They are awesome and it's been 18 months with used Bumkins and they are still good to go.

Buy Cheap Cloth Diapers

Where to get what you need cheap

One of the complaints I hear is "cloth diapering is expensive", this is not necessarily true. You can start cloth diapering for around 100 dollars. Check out some of the cheap cloth diaper packages offered below.
Cheap Diaper Packages
This site offers great cloth diaper packages. They also carry just about every cloth diaper and cloth diaper accessory that is made. Their prices seem very reasonable. They provide quite a bit of information for those new to cloth diapering as well.
Cheap Prefold Cloth Diapers
Chinese Prefold Cloth Diapers, Cloth Diaper covers, Burt's Bees all-natural Baby Skin Care. This is where we got our Prefolds. It's the cheapest price I have found online. Good Quality, and customer service too.
MotherEase Cloth Diapers
This is the diapering system I was going to use when I first started investigating cloth diapering. It seemed really easy (and it is). I ordered their "try it out kit". I found that it swallowed up Hanna when she was a newborn, and even at 10lbs I found it very bulky. They are well made and absorbant though, and when she gets bigger we will use them
Cheap cloth Diapers and Covers
Cloth diapers and covers for your baby. Diaper your baby in soft comfy cotton diapers like Snugtofit. Cloth diaper covers from Aristocrats Diaper Soakers, Bummis Diaper Covers and Bumkins AIO Diapers. We have Fuzzi Bunz Cloth Pocket Diapers.
Cloth Diapers and Cloth Diaper Resources
Cloth diapers are good for your baby, cloth diapers are good for the environment. Kissaluvs, Fuzzi Bunz, chinese prefolds and diaper covers are a few choices in cloth diapers. Cotton Babies is your cloth diaper resource center.
Cloth Diaper Package Deals
Green Mountain has great package deals for different size babies. They offer a wide variety sample type package so you can decide what you like best.
Cloth Diaper Sampler Packages
Thanks Mama has lots of package deals, including sampler packages so you can try different types of diapers to choose which one works best for your family.

What a wonderful lense! I wanted to CD my oldest son but was so overwhelmed by all the choices out there, a lense like this would have helped me feel more comfy with the whole concept. We CD our other son because we EC and I just felt like a more responsible steward of the earth not using disposables. Looking forward to more of your lenses!

I have two in diapers and I stay at home with them. I need to really work much harder on saving us money. I've been spending a small fortune on disposables. I thought cloth diapers meant learning how to fold and fasten pieces of fabric into a particular shape. I had no idea there was such a thing as a cloth diaper with tabs that goes on easily like a disposable. If nothing else, I'm thinking about using cloth at home and then the convenience of disposables when out and about (we're home most of the time).

Thank you for sharing this information.
