Cloverfield Movie Review
A brief Cloverfield review to get uoi in the mood without giving away the whole plot.
The character performances are solid but this is a film for monster spotting not acting. The main monster is huge spanning several city blocks. It is an ugly brute with elephant skin, sea creature body features and a face that is best forgotten.
The large monster can shed smaller monsters to make it all the more complex. These terror crustaceans have a nasty bite and a temperament to match.
The ending is one to remember and will not disappoint. The Cloverfield script is as polished as one would expect from a big budget Hollywood blockbuster. Abrams does forget to fill in one plot detail however; what was the monster doing their anyway?
