Marine and Salt Water Clownfish

Clownfish, the cute little fish found in Finding Nemo, are also known as anenome fish.

They got the name clownfish because of the cute little way the wiggle their whole body while they are swimming.

There are many different kinds of clownfish, which have different personalities.  Maroon clownfish and tomato clownfish are more aggressive, while Percula Clownfish and Skunk clownfish are some of the less aggressive varieties.

Of course, as with people, all clownfish don't live up to their reputation.

There are reports of non aggressive maroon clownfish, just as their are reports of Percula clownfish that are very aggressive.

I have two Percula Clownfish that I just got yesterday!  I ordered them from my local pet store, because the stores that do carry them have had trouble with disease in their tanks, and I didn't want to risk getting a sick fish, or transfering any diseases to my other aquarium fish.

I hope you will join me on my journey as a clownfish owner!

I have two saebae Clowns. They were very cute and little when we purchased them. Now the female is the 800lbs. Gorilla in the tank. She has killed 5 Chromis / 1 worm Gobie / 1 Cardinal / and has attempted to destroy my Duncan Stra coral.

The Carpet annomnee I purchased them with has overgrown the tank as well.

I am goin to catch them and bring them back to the store for store credit. Any suggestion what type of Clown I should try next?

That must be so exciting! Are you going to try to raise them?

We have two clownfish, that aren't named yet.

They're fun to watch and we're always surprised when we see one more than two inches away from the other.

I'm Sarah and I have two Percula Clownfish.
They are so much fun to watch as they wiggle around, and they're always together.
Friends for life.
