Full Free Clue Download Game for Mac and PC

The free Clue download game takes its basis from the Clue board game; using the same characters and the basic idea that you must deduce who, how and where the murder was committed. But, there are quite a few differences in the way you play Clue in this game. For example, not only do you collect information via the other (computer) players, by 'making suggestions' - which in this game is called 'starting a rumor', which they have to disprove - and so you eliminate possibilities that way.
This version also uses hidden object games, in which you must search each room in the mansion a checklist of objects, some of which will be vital to your solving the case.
Also you have a time limit of 2 hours to solve each case; this keeps you on your toes! However, if you click on any time keeping objects (like wall clocks or alarm clocks), during the course of your searches, you can collect an extra 15 minutes; there are other ways you can get extra minutes as well as losing time.
There is also a hints log, so when you 'start a rumor' amongst your fellow guests, any information they give you in response to your rumor/suggestion will be saved in your hints log, so that you can always refer back to it as more information comes to light.
Other great additions to the traditional Clue game include mini-games, for example puzzles that you must solve to get from one corner room to another via the secret passages, as you would in the Clue board game. But in this version, you can't get to the corner rooms without going through the secret passages and cracking the puzzles, to continue your searches.

Check out the screen shot below, which shows the detective notebook tab of the game; you can see there are not only more weapons in this version (there were 6 in the Clue board game), but there are also different weapons and modern rooms, as you would expect in a Hollywood mansion!
This screen shot shows your case file which contains 4 tabbed pages:
A game map tab: a floor plan of the mansion and shows which rooms you have unlocked and searched
Your detective checklist: (as shown below) is a list of suspects, rooms and weapons. Those you have eliminated in your investigation will be marked with a red cross.
Your evidence: stores clues you have collected in your searches of the mansion.
The hint log tab: saves all the hints you have gathered from the suspects.

This part of the game is new to the Clue board game play. The hidden object games get you searching each room for clues, as you can see in the image on the right. There is a list of objects to be found in each room, some of which will be necessary for you to solve the case. For example, you must find one of the potential weapons. You can click on the flashlight image for hints if you get stuck, but if you click on 3 incorrect items in a row, you lose 2 minutes of your time!

And remember to keep an eye out for timepieces that will gain you added time.

Also whilst searching the rooms, you will come across "coat checks", which provide very useful clues about a suspect. Any hints you are given based on these coat checks are stored in your Evidence tab of the case file, so you can refer back to them when you need to.

The other part of your investigation entails starting a rumor, which as mentioned, is similar to making a suggestion in the Clue board game. However, in this game rather than eliminating items off your Clue list by a show of cards, the guests give you a hint. For example, the screen shot below shows a possible hint as a result of the rumor you started: Mrs Peacock says "The murder weapon was not found in the Hall". These hints are collected in the hints log. And may find you'll need to refer back to it further along in the game, as your investigation progresses.

When you are ready hit the Accuse button and fill in your 3 choices of whodunit, with which weapon and in which room. Make a wrong accusation and you lose an hour off your time, though you can still continue with the case. Select the correct solution and you could also win an award!

This new Clue board game has all the best bits of the original with added twists and fun. Not only are there are over 400 possible combinations, but every case is unique as they are randomly generated. This means that the evidence you need to find, the perspective the room, where the weapons and coat checks are hidden are all randomly selected.
