Your lenses always give me great ideas for playtime with the grandchildren -- and since they both love nature, we will do a Nature Journal. Our granddaughter often makes art projects with items from nature. and oh, they love to listen to nature too! Their Poppy is teaching them to identify the bird sounds! Blessed by a joyful Angel!

This is a super lens. I am going to feature it on my Queen Anne's Lace lens.

This is so incredibly terrific! Thank you so much! I would have voted--but there was not an adequate response available for me! We actually do nature studies on a regular basis, and in fact for the last five years we lived in the woods, without plumbing--quite close to nature. We were forced to move into town early this spring due to the poor condition of our home in the woods. We still have a nice piece of land in rural Maine though, and we still live close to nature. Check out my lens Natural Homeschooling--it's a work in progress.
    Thanks again!

Oh Jimmie - you have really taken me back to my childhood. Nature Study is sooo important and in my tiny village school, we studied a bird and a tree every year and we had to make a wild flower collection - cant do that these days - and I learned so much. In fact it probably underpinned much of my green awareness that I have now.

    Blessings to you!

Beautiful Lens. I am also a homeschooling parent and I'm very influenced by Charlotte Mason. Sketching is something that we love to do but unfortunately don't do it as often as we would like. Thank you also for the comments on my lens.

I love this teaching style and this lens. This is how I used to teach - hands-on and observation are the way to teach nature and science.

This is a really great lens, 5***** well deserved. I love the illustrations. Walking in the rain is such fun, and kids these days need to learn to appreciate nature and the outdoors a lot more. Great job.

Wonderful resource for us CM lovers! I didn't see Cindy Rushton's materials mentioned. She is a big CM fan, too. She has a good book about nature study that has lots of tips and ideas. You might want to check it out at www.cindyrushton.com.

I don't have any children yet but I thought homeschooling is the best way to educate a child. Who better to teach a child anything than his own mother. 5 stars and a blessing from a Squid Angel.

I enjoy nature journaling, my son and I take walks in the woods, or through the garden, then sit down and draw what we see. It's such a great way to get in touch with nature

This is how a lens should be done! Fantastic!

We're currently using My Father's World curriculum, which shares much the same teaching philosophy as Charlotte Mason. The resources you've shared will fit nicely with our lesson plans. 5 Stars!!
