Co-Ed Baby Shower Game Ideas

If you're throwing a co-ed baby shower, you'll want to make sure the men feel comfortable. While you want to include them, you don't want them to be forced into taking part in a delicate ladies-centered event. Make the fun optional. Tell the men it's ok to sit out on the porch and have a cigar with the others or create a game of flag football or a Wii challenge in the rec room. Everyone doesn't have to stick together for the whole party.
However, if you do want to keep the men involved, plan some party games that the men will find as hysterical as the women.

Balloon Shoe Tie

Blow up some balloons very big and have the men put them under their shirts. Have them race to see who can bend down and tie their shoes fastest without popping the balloon. Very funny to watch.

Baby Toss

Blow up some baby shower balloons and fill them with water. Draw faces on them with marker so they look like babies. Have men choose the partner of their choice and begin a water balloon toss. Make them move farther and farther apart without dropping "baby." The duo who lasts the longest without dropping their baby wins.

Double Handed Dressing

This is a really silly way to get everyone involved. Have two baby teddy bears or baby dolls ready to be dressed. Provide diapers, clothes, socks, and shoes. The more clothes the better. Have couples pair up or randomly assign men and women to be partners. Two partners will race against another set of partners to see who can dress their baby the fastest. The catch? They can only use one hand each. So, the baby will have to be dressed by the man's right hand and the woman's left hand. The hilarity will ensue for sure!

Five Fun Ideas for Baby Shower Game Prizes
If you are hosting a baby shower, you'll want everyone to be involved in the games you've planned. One sure way to make sure that happens is to offer great prizes to the winners.

Baby Food Feed

This game is fun for couples who aren't afraid of making a mess-or making fools out of themselves. Fill baby food jars with cottage cheese, yogurt, or pudding. Or, you can use the baby food carrots, peas, pears, or whatever you like. Provide each couple with one jar of food and a tiny baby spoon. One person will be the mom and one will be the baby. The object is to eat your whole jar of food before the other team's baby does. It will be side-splitting fun to watch as the "mom" feeds her baby and he has to down the often horrid-tasting food. Be sure to provide a baby bib so that guests don't have to wear a messy shirt for the rest of the party.

When the games are over, make sure you award prizes. Prizes for men include gourmet cookies and candies, chocolate dipped pretzels, caramel coated crunch mixes, and flavored barbecue and grilling sauces. The ladies may like lotions, soaps, candies, candles, or notepads, or even a bath gift set. Mix it up. Make sure there is something for everyone in the prize box. You might consider gift certificates to coffee houses or Netflix or other online retailers.
A co-ed baby shower can be lots of fun. It all depends on how you organize and carry it out. As long as you don't make anyone feel pressured into playing games, you'll have a very well-received party that people will be talking about for months.

The balloon shoe tie would be funny - I don't think I've ever seen that game before. Great lens.
