Great outline of everything I need to know about professional speaking. I'm including this link on my blog for others to find, too.

    Hi Lisa!
I'm glad I stumbled over your Twitter comment (I'm @ fanihiman95376, btw)--I read your blog post on the "statistics"- you know, the one about people's retention of the written word, the spoken word, and the accompanying visuals. As a former school teacher (who had those statistics pounded into my head), I still sensed that they were a bit off. Like you said, the researcher who came up with the numbers used a study involving things "emotionally charged" and even then, said had various disclaimers about the validity of the numbers in different situations.
I'm no longer a teacher (well, maybe I am)--I now provide editing/writing services to folks who want their writing improved, their marketing materials to shine, and their technical documents to be understandable. (Also do resume assistance from a copywriter's perspective.)
This Squidoo lens is a definite 5*! I enjoy your tweets and your blog.... You definitely have a knack with words!
