Cockatoo Bird

Cockatoo is a nice bird that included in endangered species. The population of Cockatoo become rare due the hunting and deforestation. People like to care this bird at cage. Cockatoo has beautiful white feather like white cotton. Some species has yellow crest that will be fan if the cockatoo is surprised, angry or happy.

This bird could shout very loudly. You can hear the shout from 100 m distance. I think it is not good for your house especially you live at small apartment. Your neighbor may call police because of this bird.

They shout because they feel lonely, in nature they are a community bird. They live together with a large group. They find the seed at savana and crop field and fly together.

People like care this bird because this bird is very clever. We can order this bird to do some acrobat. Some circus has been using it for the acrobat like riding bicycle. Driving small car, ring play, etc.

The bird also could talk like human. He can mimic people sound for example, good morning, hungry, eats, corn, etc. I used to bait my neighbor's cockatoo to speak. I mimic the cockatoo sound "Cockatoo?" Of course, the bird answered my question too.

Cockatoo has 21 species. This bird habitat is Australian, Papua, Timor, Moluccan, etc. They have at least three varieties color like white, pink and black. The black is most horrible cockatoo because it has black color like crow. There is a pair red spot in both side chins.

In Australia, this bird is very abundant. The high population of Cockatoo also disturbs the crop field and farm. Sometimes the cockatoo eat seed like corn, oat, wheat etc. Reversely, In Indonesia, this bird is becoming rare. The government has been protecting this bird. Every people who care this bird could get punishment or fine.
