You have done a wonderful job here showing all that coconut oil can do - wonderful tips, and I like the idea of using coconut oil for balding cats - I don't have one, but if I did I would try it right away. Blessed!

Lovely lens! I use coconut oil quite a bit when cooking, it's such a great alternative to butter or oils. Wonderful tips here as well!

Freshly cut onion into cubes, with honey. Left for 30 mins and the juice can be used for a cough, chest remedy. Natural antibiotic and very soothing. Plus you can take as much as you like! Great lens. I will be trying out the coconut oil remedies.

Once i doggie sat my sisters 2 large dogs. They are really into health so had some coconut butter. I decided to bath the dogs but first decided to give them an oil treatment. Ohh no, lol. I put so much on them that it took me forever to get it out! After the first bath I looked out the window and it looked like they were still wet. I realized then that it was the oil. Ohh my gosh.. it was crazy. Sooo now I know be careful not to use too much..lol. Great lens cause yes it is a wonderful product. Angel blessed too!

Angel blessed - awesome thank you :)
I can imagine how the dogs loved you having to bath them again - Lol! At least when they licked themselves (as dogs do!) they'd be getting a healthy coconut oil treat too.

I have just been using coconut oil as a moisturizer and in my diet for the past two months, I love this all natural product. Great lens, I'll have to try that Cacao chocolate recipe... yum!

I knew coconut oil was good for you but I didn't realize it is good for so many things...thanks for sharing!
  • imlj Feb 19, 2012 @ 8:22 pm | delete
Terrific lens! I use organic coconut oil primarily as an after-bath moisturizer. Since it absorbs pretty quickly, I often follow up w/ jojoba oil to help lock in the moisture.

I though coconut oil adds to the calories, I will have to change my mind and consider using it for cooking.

I've got raw, unrefined coconut oil (International Harvest's) and it tastes and smells awesomely like coconuts. It's been amazing for my skin; it's even clearing up the acne scars on my face that I've had for 15 years. x-x

I had no idea coconut oil had so many uses. Does it actually taste like coconut if you swish it in your mouth? Seems easy enough to try and I liked the crunchies recipe. Neat stuff!
  • SynchronicityHouse Nov 10, 2010 @ 12:57 pm | delete
It doesn't have much of a coconut taste and a mouthful of oil what ever kind it is not too great; but persevere as it really does leave your mouth feeling good and clean and fresh!!!
