Are coconut oils good for your health?
Some say it's bad for your health, while some say it's not. Who are we going to believe?
Everyone nowadays are becoming health conscious. They stopped smoking and drinking, get lots of exercise, measure the foods they take, count each and every calorie and fats and salt and sugar.
No one would argue with the above list as being healthful. But what's arguable are the FATS. Because of the different types of fats, and differing sources, opinions here seem to be different, depending on who's talking.
Kinds of Fats
Healthy Fats:
olive, peanut and canola oils, avocados and nuts.
vegetable oils:safflower, corn, sunflower, soy and cottonseed oils.
fatty, cold-water fish, such as salmon, mackerel and herring. Flaxseeds, flax oil and walnuts, soybean and canola oils.
Harmful fats
red meat, poultry, butter and whole milk. COCONUT, palm and other tropical oils.
Commercially baked goods - such as crackers, cookies and cakes - and in fried foods, such as doughnuts and french fries. Shortenings and margarines.
