Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2
This lens gears towards anime fans of the series Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. This is animation that has mecha robots such as Gundams and has an interesting story line of Japan and Britain living in a society filled with discrimination. Lelouch is trying to overturn discrimination with the power of his geass; the power to make anyone do what he says!
I initially heard of this anime series after I finished watching Gundam 00. I was doing my initial search of the air date of the second series of Gundam 00 and I happened to stumble across a board where someone mentioned that they thought Code Geass was a great anime series. I'm the type of person that likes any animation that deals with mecha type of things, so after looking at a few animation stills of the series; I figured why not check it out...
After watching the first series, I was hooked. The first series ends with Lelouch and Suzaku at a standoff; pointing guns at each other and Lelouch with a sakurite bomb. Lelouch and Suzaku fire at each other and the series ends. What happened next? Was Lelouch able to rescue Nunnally? Who is that other witch that has the geass ability? What is the true goal of the King of Brittania? All of these unanswered questions and we are now left with the next series, Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2.
This is just the intro to my lens and I will try to add more general information on the first series, but my main focus will be on the second series.
I know that some of you may not know what Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion is all about, so here are some sites that I found on the net that might help.

Episode 1 - The Day the Demon Awakens
The year is now a.t.b 2018 and oneyear has passed since the failed attempt of the Black Knight rebellion led by Zero to over throw Britannia rule. Zero is believed to be dead and most of the Black Knights like Toudo and Ougi have been captured. Hope seems to be loss for the Elevens and they are struggling to make a living in society filled with discrimination.

In the beginning of the episode, Lelouch is back in school and has no recollection of the past events that has happened. He now has a brother named Rolo and everyone at the school believes that he is his real brother. Even Villetta, who was part of the Britinnian army, has now become a P.E. teacher.

On the school grounds, Villetta tries to catch Lelouch to make up a missed P.E. class, but he manages to escape with Rolo. While him and Rolo head for their destination, the Brittinian army starts tracking them to make sure that they know their exact location.

Lelouch and Rolo reach what seems to look like a casino and witness 2 Eleven siblings fighting for their lives as entertainment to the Britannians. Lelouch then points out to Rolo that within Britannian society, Elevens are an inferior race. As he talks to Rolo, an Eleven worker bumps into him and starts to apologize. It is Kallen, but at this point he doesn't know who she is.

Kallen apologizes and mentions her status difference as an Eleven. Lelouch just brushes it off and mentions that status means nothing to him. While they are talking, Kallen is suddenly pulled by the hair by a person called Mr. Black King. He is a mafia person that is well known in the area for his chess skills. Kallen is in a bind because Mr. Black King wants to take her as his "merchandise". She tells him that she is not for sale, but he still insists on purchasing her. Lelouch, who is a little irritated after hearing Mr. Black King mention that the Emperor believes in the "strongest of the fittest", intervenes and challenges him to a game of chess.

Mr. Black King eventually loses to Lelouch and then orders his guards to detain him because he "cheated". As Lelouch is getting detained, there is a big explosion from the top of the building and Black Knight Knightmares start to descend from the ceiling. The army who was tracking Lelouch notices this and starts to deploy their Knightmares as well.

Lelouch and Rolo go into another room to get away from the chaos; however, a Britannian soldier is also there and tries to shoot at Rolo. Lelouch pushes Rolo out of the way and ends up falling down a few floors, but manages to survive. While Lelouch is trying to find Rolo, he runs into C.C. C.C starts to explain to him that his enemy is Britannia when she suddenly gets shot in the head. The army starts to explain to him that he was being tracked all this time to lure C.C. out to capture her and now that they have her, he is no longer needed. As he is about to get shot, he thinks to himself, that if he had power, then he would change the world. C.C then suddenly kisses him and all of his memories that were locked up deep inside of him are released.

After Lelouch regains his memories he orders all the army to kill themselves. The episode ends showing Suzaku with the emperor and few other people. Suzaku tells the emperor that he will be the one to kill Zero.

Side Notes....
This episode also introduced 2 new characters. Well maybe 1 new character. His name is Xing-Ke and at this point he looks like he is the body guard of what looks like a representative of the Chinese Federation. They are meeting with the Britannian government, but not much is known at this point
