Mugs for Collecting and Gifts

My husband has long been a collector of mugs. We have hundreds of mugs of all different types. As I was sorting out the mugs on the shelves, I began to think how much you can tell about a person from the mugs that they use.

We have mugs from all of the various places we have traveled. A wonderful shamrock designed mug from Ireland, a mug with a map of the Hawaiian islands, one with the Eiffel tower and a bright tropical mug from the Bahamas.

Then there is the collection of media mugs. My husband worked in radio and we have a large collection of mugs from radion and television stations.
We also have mugs from the company I worked for 30 years.

There are mugs from the schools and universities that our children attended, mugs showing my husbands favorite comic strip, and mugs proclaiming our favorite drinks. We have mugs with books we like, sports teams that are our favorites, and mugs with lighthouses. Some of our favorite mugs are covered with photos of our granddaughters.

Looking at all of our mugs, you can certainly get to know a little bit more about my husband and me.
