How To Count Coffee Calories

If you're counting coffee calories you are obviously serious about losing weight. So, let's start with the good news. A cup of instant coffee is virtually free of calories. Just the coffee and water will ring up no more than 1- 5 calories.

The problems start when you add milk, cream, sugar and other extra flavors to your coffee.

And, of course filter coffee is higher in calories. Though filter is not too bad if you drink it on its own; say 10 to 15 calories.

The really bad news comes when you go to a coffee lounge and indulge in the real deluxe coffees.

A Starbucks 354 ml Frappuccino, Mocha, With Whip & Syrup, Tall will rack up 331 calories. So if you're serious about losing weight stay away from the extras and avoid the cakes at all costs.

The unfortunate point about coffee calories is that estra taste comes with a heavy calorie price tag.

So, how does an ordinary human being enjoy life and lose weight?

I succeeded in losing 20 pounds using a three part program. First you have to master yourself, then you need to know how much you need to lose, and finally you need a balanced program of how much you should eat and how much exercise you need to take.

Do Coffee Calories Matter?

It you talk to some diet experts they will say: "coffee calories? What's the problem?" But there is one.

It's not the coffee or the water that you need to worry about. It's the extras like sugar and cream that do the damage.

I don't want to be a spoil sport but the extras come at a calorie price. You simply cannot escape from the fact that sugar and cream are loaded with calories.

And calories are your number one enemy when it comes to putting on weight. The more calories you take on the more you have to burn off if you want to lose weight.

I happen to have a fairly sedentary job. I sit around in meetings and in my car a lot of the day. So my chances of burning off calories are not too good.

Fortunately the dogs drag me out a couple of times a day and I play sports like tennis and golf a couple of times a week. But I really should take more exercise.

At the start of the year I decided to have a blitz on my weight and I lost 20 pounds.

Because I'm a professional Personal Development Coach I quickly realized that the secret of success would lie in taking charge of my mind. I needed to develop the self image and willpower necessary to winning the weight battle.

I've created 12 videos on how to get a grip of yourself which I give away free as part of the Magic Hats program. You can get yours from this link: coffee calories.

I would just like to ad in that coffee is actually recommended by doctors to consume before physical activity because it promotes stronger muscles and gives you a better mental mindset. Calories needed to lose weight are important when you are trying to lose weight.

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion but I don't really think cofee could affect 2 much a person who has a healthy eating and exercising habit. In just 2 hours of swimming you burn away enough so you can eat anything 2 days(within good sense of course) and still be in shape. Some more info on eating properly if interested.
