My Tricks for the PerfectCuppa
It's obvious that I adore my coffeetime. Here are a couple of different things that I do to create hot steaming tasty bliss every morning.When I have the time, I love to select the most lyrical strains of music. Some of my favorites include: Julian Bream, John Williams, and of course Michael Hedges. The gentle sound of the acoustic guitar just seems to match with my hotbrew.
I also choose a view, and sit by a window. I know it sounds like those commercials from years ago, but I really do find the calm and quiet that I need by setting aside a few minutes for just gazing and pondering while I sip.
When I make my MagicJavaElixer, I'm pretty careful about some things:
I make sure that I have good water. Lately, I've been using Dasani. It's not springwater, but it is highly purified and makes a great pot.
I also clean my coffeepot regularly. There are two popular methods: First is bakingsoda scrub. That's the natural way. A more thorough cleaning can be garnered from a touch of bleach in a sinkful of water. This helps remove the stains better. CoffeeOils build up after some time, so it's good to maintain a weekly schedule.
My selections of worldcoffees varies. I like to try different regions, and sometimes I mix them if I find a roastyblend that's just too dark. Still, my favorite comes from that sunshine island.
Getting the mix just right is another key to FineCoffee. Careful measures of the freshground is important to maintain the same tastequality over time. Even when I'm bleary-eyed in the morning, I have to make sure that my teaspoonfuls are just on the mark.
