Why Your Local Coin Show is Worth it

One of the first things I always recommend to beginning collectors, as well as experienced ones, is go to your local coin show. Everybody knows about your local coin shop, and that can be a great place to learn about coins and meet fellow collectors, but the coin show is another experience you do not want to miss. An average local coin show can have thirty to fifty merchants, many of whom do not have a retail shop. You'll be more likely to run into specialists who can help you build out your collection with those hard to fill holes. You'll see more people browsing and there will be more opportunity to meet fellow collectors. Try it!
