Day one on set and myself Cole Armitage and Scott Young head down to london to start filming on cold play's new music video Charlie Brown! Soon after arriving at base camp we get covered in paint!

The set was a abandoned church we arrived on location to find a rave being filmed there were about 50 dancers dancers coved in luminous paint raving it up!

After a quick tour of the set we found out we were going to be doing our thing on two scaffolding towers on each side of the church

We spent the next hour or so working with the riggers to set up the scaffolding how we wanted it and working out some choreography for the filming.

Then we waited, an hour passed,

then three hours passed, and still we hadn't done anything except watching the dancers rave!

To pass the time we ended up training our one handed handstands (Cole just won that challenge)

Finally we were called for! and they filmed us swinging around on the scaffolding for a bit, then we were told to go relax again a few more hours passed!

The lead singer Chris introduced himself to us and we ended up chatting for a few minutes, he's such a safe dude!

Then I was asked if they could use my Go Pro (HD Hero) to film a few shots for the video, so they strapped my camera onto the end of Chris's (the lead singer) guitar and started filming!

the shots came out great we will have to wait and see if the use them in the final video.

Thats a wrap!!!

We were done for the day, arrived at 11am finished at about 10pm and we only did a few minutes worth of filming! thats how it goes in this business sometimes.

What will tomorrow bring?

Filming Coldplays new music video Charlie Brown Part 2

Day two and a new location, they want to film some freerunning! so we are taken to the roof of a tower block, the first thing they wanted to film was a gap jump 14 stories up!

Unfortunately they wouldn't allow us to do the jump without the harness and safety line, Cole was chosen for the job so had to squeeze into the harness, it was funny watching him with all those safety wires for such a small jump!

Safety First!

We were filming that for an hour or so (it was going to be a long day) then Scott and I were both asked to go out around the area and film some parkour! So out we went, we were out for a good few hours scouting out good locations and filming sequences. (It was really good fun)

Meanwhile Cole was filming another shot in the tower block this time he had to jump out the 13th window onto a rig that had been built for him! sounds cool tho Unfortunately i wasn't around to get any photo's of the filming.

As the light started to fade we broke for lunch

Now we were into the night shoot and the Bmx's were doing some filming! some crazy tricks I'm sure! we watched them warming up with some wicked moves.

After lunch Cole was back on set filming a few more sequences including tagging a wall! haha and I've got photographic evidence!

(No fear it's washable paint so was cleaned off soon after! Good as new)

Then the final location the skate park (finally my go at being in front of the camera! ha) Cole and I filmed the last few sequences together running, jumping, vaulting and flipping our way through the skate park. It was a great location I'm sure we captured some great shots.

Thats a wrap!

The last sequence was filmed we were done! Now we've just got to wait and see the final video of Coldplay's "Charlie Brown" It should be out soon, Look out for me and cole!

As a final note; I met some great people over the last two days on set we were like a little family.

Thats the best thing about this kinda work you always meet amazing people on your journey,

who knows what I'll end up doing next!

One Love
