Why Collect Girl Scout Books?
Having these old books also reminds me that Girl Scouts changes - and that's a good thing. If we still had some of the same badges that the organization had at the beginning (semaphore!) we wouldn't have any girls in the organization.
It's just as important to remember our past so that we can change and grow toward the future - and to help the girls become all they can be.

- Good idea for a collection. I was in Brownies, but later switched to 4-H so missed being a Girl Scout.

- I don't collect old Girl Scout books (and the ones I had as a Scout are hardly in collectible quality) but I do have some song books from the 50s and 60s that once belonged to an elderly friend of mine. This friend led Girl Scout troops until she was in her seventies!
Thanks for this lens. It's brought back a lot of wonderful memories.
