Shopping With Shirley's Delight

Shirley's Delight has been a seller on eBay for over two years with a 100% feedback. I started my own website to provide a variety of vintage glassware, pottery and china to my customers.

I strive hard to make your shopping experience a pleasurable one. Customer service is very important to me. I ship within 1-2 business days of sale. You can feel confident in shopping with me!

My website offers a unique and rare opportunity to own a piece of history:

1. Glassware made from 19th century to 1950s - The patterns are no longer being made by the manufacturers.

2. Pottery from companies that are no longer in business.

3. China patterns that are retired or discontinued.
What a great way to start or complete your collections!

KING AND SON CO Lattice or U.S. GLASS Diamond Bar Water PITCHER

Beautiful pre - 1900's Early American Pattern Glass Water Pitcher was made first by King & Son Company in Pittsburgh PA in 1880 under the pattern name Lattice. Later made by U.S. Glass in 1891 under the pattern name Diamond Bar. The water pitcher is between 115 to 126 years old and is a large 10" high pitcher on a pedestal base. There is a diamond design around upper rim area. There are 3 vertical diamond bars with diamonds with crosses inside them. There is also the diamond pattern around the pedestal base. There is a D shaped handle. There are some manufacturer's flaws which is normal for this era of glassware. Flaws: Air bubbles and on base seam lines, one of the three has a defect.

Original Vintage Imperial #474 Marigold Carnival Glass Large Water Pitcher

This is an Original, not a reproduction, Vintage Imperial Marigold Carnival Glass Large Water Pitcher, Four-Seventy-Four Pattern introduced in 1913, combining a typical cut-style pattern and an arch of latticed lines over an almost realistic daisy. The pattern is an unusual combination of molding techniques, combining relief-molded geometric designs with an intaglio floral motif. It is the only Imperial carnival glass pattern that combines these two styles of molding.

This pitcher is 10" tall from highest point from side of spout to base, 5 3/8" across side to side, 8 1/2" from spout to the edge of handle. The base is 5 1/8" across. The marigold color has a gorgeous iridization. This pitcher is in excellent condition for its age. There is a tiny nick, can hardly see on the base edge. There are no scratches. There are some tiny straw marks or hairline surface cracks on outer edge of the base. I have tested this pitcher and there are no leaks. There is a strawmark, which is normal for vintage carnival glass. The large, impressive water pitchers are a collector's favorite. They are still reasonably available in marigold. Virtually all of the other colors range from very scarce to extremely rare. Any white marks on pitcher images are camera flash reflections.

I have researched this pieces extensively. David Doty's Carnival Glass Website has the pattern number and photos of this pattern. Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 6th Edition, Bill Edwards and Mike Carwile.

This original beautiful pitcher is made by Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio, USA. Early colored glass from Imperial is not usually marked with a trademark and this original pitcher has no markings. This pitcher was made between 1913 and 1918. There has been some confusion over a very similar appearing pattern. If you see a marking with I over G on an Imperial piece, that piece is made between 1965 and 1972. There is a similar piece called Mayflower, pattern #678, that has a daisy on it, however it has panels of hexagons next to daisy and no arches.

Why You Should Purchase From Me

I've been selling glassware, pottery and china for over two years. I've come to learn that glassware is becoming a lost art. I enjoy learning about the history of the production of glassware.

I live in Zanesville, Ohio in Muskingum County which is the pottery capital of Shawnee, Hull, McCoy, Roseville, Crooksville, Gonder, Weller, Robinson Ransbottom Pottery aka RRP Pottery Co., Hartstone Pottery, Buckeye Pottery and Ohio Pottery. Ohio is known for Anchor Hocking, Cambridge Glass, Cambridge, Mosser, Heisey, Imperial, Fostoria, Tiffin and many more glass companies. Since I have moved to Ohio, I enjoy visiting different museums to see the wonderful pieces of American Glass History. I have a large collection of research identification and guide books. I try very hard to research and identify each product that I sell.

All my transactions have been positive. I have received emails thanking me for going above and beyond the standard customer service. I professionally pack to ensure the safest possible delivery.
