Florida would be considered the underdog in this game at +7. For you to win your Florida bet, they would have to either win or lose by less than 7. If they lose by exactly 7, then you would push and get your money back.

Moneyline betting
Moneyline betting is when you make a wager on a game, but there is no spread involved. The moneyline is adjusted to try and get bettors placing wagers evenly on both teams. Here is an example.

Ohio State -230
Florida +190

In this game, Ohio State is the favorite, and at -230 this means you will be betting $2.30 for every $1 you want to win. So if you bet $230 on Ohio State and they win, you will win $100(profit). If they lose the game, you will lose $230.

If you bet on Florida in this game, you are getting +190 odds or translated into money terms... for every $1 you bet, you will win $1.90. So if you bet $100 on Florida, and they win you will win $190(profit). If they lose you will just lose your initial $100 bet.

Over/Under betting
Over/Under betting or total betting is when you are wagering on whether or not you think the total amount of points in the game will go over or under the set number. Here is an example.

#3 - Keep your betting amounts similar

If you are betting $1000 on one game and $150 on another game, you are bound to go through some big swings. You should always keep your betting amounts within 1-3 units of each other. This means if you usually bet $100 on a game, you shouldn't have any bets bigger than $300. Keep your betting amounts similar and you will increase the amount of money you are winning.
