College Pell Grants and Obama Administration

This is a short, brief summation of Barrack Obama's stance on Pell Grants for college.

His Opinion

Recently last Wednesday the president suggested increased amount of money for Pell Grants to assist qualified underprivileged students have the funds for college.

Starting in 2011, the highest award set up to increase alongside the growing cost-of-living, which would increase the top paying federal Pell Grant to $6,900 no lather than 2019.

In the time period of 2005-06 school year, the overall number of Pell Grant recipients grew to 6.2 million from 4.7 million.

the average Pell Grant given out also went from 1885 to 2223 dollars.

So, the projected boost that President Obama revealed on Wednesday might result in additional Pell grant aid for even more eligible college students!
