College in the Woods
Binghamton University has 5 main communities plus one apartment community. The communities are College in the Woods, Dickinson, Newing, Hinman, and Mountainview. The apartment community is the Hillside community. Deciding which community can be challenging as an incoming freshman, I'm currently a freshman about to move into my second semester of college. College in the woods is without a doubt the best and most sought after community to get into, and I'm quite happy that I got in.
Everyone knows that College in the Woods is awesome because Jim Spinosa lives there, which makes it much better because he is awesome. If you have questions, look for him.
Social life
Room structute
There are 6 person suites like I currently live in (these are the nicest) with a large common room and 3 doubles.
5 person suites which have a small common room, a double, and a triple (not very good).
Standard doubles with two roommates same gender for all doubles on a floor
Forced triples, this is what sucks is that sometimes admissions will mess up the amount of incoming freshman, etc. and every once in a while people get forced into a standard double room, but it will have three people living there unless somebody decides to move out. This happens in all communities, not just CIW.
