During the duration of the colon cleansing program, Blessed Herbs requires that you fast from foods. Although, chicken broth is ok and would be wise to drink for added nutritional benefits.

Blessed Herbs is ranked at number 2 because it is effective, but it must be noted that there is one ingredient in Blessed Herbs that is somewhat controversial. Bentonite Clay is basically an aluminum-based clay, which is why it is controversial. Many people beleive that you should avoid ingesting metals while doing a colon cleansing program.

Colonix comes in as the third best colon cleanser, mainly because Colonix has a good colon cleansing formula consisting of 40 different all natural herbs. The main colon cleansing ingredient is psyllium, but the other herbs all promote optimal colon health.

There is one controversial herb included in the laxative tea portion of Colonix. Senna is the main ingredient, but consumers must be aware that Senna can cause many side effects if used excessively. Senna can also interact with certain medications and agitate certain pre-existing medical conditions. They are quite dubious, but somehow very popular. Dual Action Cleanse is ranked #5 only to serve as a caution to the average colon cleansing consumer. There are many dual action cleanse complaints posted on the internet, as well as with the Better Business Bureau.

Dual Action Cleanse doesn't use capsules or liquids in their colon cleansing program. Dual Action Cleanse actually presses all of their herbs into tablets, which are harder to absorb and less effective. It is not recommended that you take Dual Action Cleanse, because there are better and more trustworthy colon cleansing products currently on the market.
