Learn How To Buy Colored Contact Lenses
There are three main types of contacts available and all of these can be found online. Many contact lens companies makes all of these types of contacts and you need to find the ones that feel good and have the style you want to wear.
Here are the three main types of contacts that can be purchased online.
- Corrective Contact Lenses - This is one that many people wear to help them improve their eyesight. Anyone that has near or short sightedness, far or long sightedness, astigmatism and many other problems will benefit from this type.
- Therapeutic Lenses - This type is a soft contact that is usually used for treating and managing non-refractive disorders. This is basically a bandage contact for the eye to keep it protected if it is injured or if there is another problem that the eye needs to heal from.
- Cosmetic Contacts Lenses - This type of contact can change the color of your eyes and can also improve your eyesight if you order them with persrciption. Yes, you can order color contacts that do not improve your eyesight.
Colored lenses can also be ordered with a lot of interesting designs and patterns on them. Some manufactures get very creative with things like teeth, shamrocks, and monster eye effects. These can be hand painted and are usually more expensive than solid colors.
These are the main three types of contact lenses that can be found online and the rest of this lens will focus on information for color contact lenses.
What are Color Contacts?
Color contacts change the color of your eyes because they have pigment built into the lens material. The pigmented area of the lens covers the iris thus changing the eye color without affecting your vision. They've been around for a long time, but there has never been so many different colors and styles available. Also, you can purchase them online and have them shipped to your house. This is nothing new, you can also do this with clear contacts.
There are two basic types of colored lenses:
- Opaque color contacts use a solid pigment that masks the natural eye color underneath. Opaques are the lenses to choose when you want to completely change your eye color.
Brands like Acuvue 2 Colors Opaques and Freshlook Colorblends are two of the most popular two-week disposable color contacts.
- Enhancer lenses use a translucent pigment in the lens that allows some of the eye's natural color to show through. If you want to amp up or intensify your natural color, then enhancers are for you.
While opaque lenses are suitable for any eye color, enhancers work for people with light eyes. Brands like Freshlook Dimensions are enhancers worth trying.

Do You Need A Prescription To Buy Colored Contacts?
Even color contacts that are not vision correcting (sometimes called non-prescription contacts) require a prescription! Sounds confusing, but basically non-prescription color contacts, or Plano lenses (having a power of 0.00) require a valid doctor's prescription.

- Circle Lenses are very trendy now and I couldn't find information about circle lens shops on the Internet, so I want to share my experience.
I have received my second order from Solution Lens and everything is fine, good packing, and good ORIGINAL products, not like some other shops where I bought before, selling fake Chinese contact lenses.
Mostly about this website I like the price as you get circle lenses for $19.90 including shipping and when you buy 2 pairs a third pair is free !
This is the cheapeast shop and most reliable that I have found until now, and you can trust me as I am a circle lens addict.
