Here you will learn how to enhance/fix your dull images in less than 5 minutes. By applying Photoshop: "Colour Dodge"/ Gimp: "Dodge" layer blending mode to your photo you'll create a high contrast and very bright result.

First you need to pick an image you would like to enhance, you can use on of your own photographs or you can download the image I've used in this tutorial here.

1. Open you photo in Photoshop/Gimp and duplicate it. Photoshop/Gimp right-click in your "Layers" box/window and pick "Duplicate Layer"

2. Now, select your duplicated layer and change layer blending mode to "Colour Dodge" and layer opacity to 70% (Img. 2 view in Photoshop) You can change the layer opacity to suit your image, different picture size or exposure can cause some result variations.
