Explore Colorado Through a Glass of Wine

Wine festivals aren't stuffy wine tastings, but fun-filled events with tents of wine, grape stomping and music.

Colorado hosts some exceptional wine festivals throughout the year. The FOOD & WINE event in Aspen as well as the Denver International Wine Festival are the highlights of the year. However, there remain a number of smaller, cheaper and more casual events worth considering. And, most of them take advantage of the great Colorado outdoors.

Whether your preference is to pair wine and food tasting with skiing, spa-ing, hiking, wildflower gazing or leaf peeping, there is a festival for you.

Some of the festivals have not released their schedules and even some have not set there dates, so bookmark this lens and return often for updates.

I've also included information on some special, more intimate wine tasting benefits.

The set has a two piece design which makes it easy to clean and easy to store. It features a stylish no-splash grate which eliminates mess. Vinturi has been a sensation because it works. It delivers recognizable improvements immediately: better bouquet, enhanced flavors and smoother finish. It couldn't be easier. Vinturi aerator sits on top of tower allowing for easy, hands-free operation. The glossy, clear acrylic is elegant and clean. But do note that there are two slight fold lines in the Vinturi aerator that extend upward from each air hole. These are normal. During manufacturing, material folds around rods and wraps back, and this causes the fold lines. Both items are dishwasher safe.

Established in 2008, Harvest Week is one of EatDenver's signature events and a perennial Denver foodie favorite. Each chef creates a course that features food and/or beverages grown or produced in state, which highlights the style of that particular eatery. This event goes beyond Colorado's more established ingredients - peaches, lamb and goat cheese - and prompts restaurants and their chefs to get inspired by local produce at the peak of its season and we will be pairing their dishes with local beer, wine and spirits.
