Free Coloring Pages of Castles Available Online

A number of sites online offer free coloring pages for printing out, with many offering images related to medieval castles and other aspects of life in the Middle Ages. While giving these pages to your children for coloring with crayons or markers is the most obvious use, these pages can also be used for other craft projects such as T shirts, stained glass, applique, woodburning and more. Both children and adults can find these coloring pages useful in crafts. The only limit is your imagination.

Coloring is a fun and relaxing activity with the bonus that it also helps children develop skills such as color concepts, eye-hand coordination and picture comprehension.

You'll also find links to some coloring books available from Dover Publications featuring castles, knights and medieval tapestries. Dover's books can be a valuable resource for craft-minded adults and children. If your computer's printer has a scanner, you can get multiple uses out of the images in the books. The illustrations in the Dover books are often more detailed than the free online images and are good for coloring with pencils or fine-line markers.

Crayola's full line of crayons, washable markers and colored pencils is available from Amazon.
