Free Coloring Pages about Ireland & St. Patrick's Day Online

Free coloring pages are offered for printing out at a number of sites online, with several offering images related to Ireland, St. Patrick's Day, Irish folklore, Celtic myths and Celtic knotwork. While giving these pages to your children for coloring with crayons or markers is the most obvious use, these pages can also be used for other craft projects such as T shirts, stained glass, applique, woodburning and more. Both children and adults can find these coloring pages useful in crafts. The only limit is your imagination.

While coloring is a fun and relaxing activity, it also helps children develop skills such as color concepts, eye-hand coordination and picture comprehension.

You'll also find links to some coloring books available from Dover Publications. Dover's books can be a valuable resource for craft-minded adults and children. If your computer's printer has a scanner, you can get multiple uses out of the images in the books.

Of course, you'll need crayons and/or washable markers. Crayola's full line of each is available from Amazon.

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day - Coloring Pages

Everyone's at least a little bit Irish on March 17, St. Patrick's Day. He's Ireland's patron saint. Legend claims he drove the snakes out of Ireland, but in reality there weren't any to begin with. Irish immigrants to North America are largely responsible for making St. Patrick's Day a celebration of Irish heritage with parades in large cities, the wearin' o' the green, the celebration of Irish music and of course green beer.
