You have a wonderful selectoin of coloring books. Years ago, I hid the fact that I enjoy coloring by using paint on fabric. Then I had a boss in a high-stress job whose wife told me he would not speak to the family after work until he had colored at least two pages to help de-stress himself. She said it made for better family relations! Now, well, I just like to use my crayons!

Hey There Foovay! I am linking to this lens from a new one of mine, www.Squidoo.com/PrintableColoringCardsforKids. I'm with you... coloring never grows old... and I have three adult children (girls) who prove it every Christmas!

Oh YES - so many people have told me it is their favorite way to destress - and I certainly do it to destress. My favorite things to color for that are the mandalas - did you see the http://squidoo.com/mandala_coloring lens?

I, too, love to color but I don't spend as much time at it as I would like...your lens is presented beautifully.
  • foovay Jun 20, 2010 @ 9:36 pm | delete
Thank you! Now set aside a few minutes for yourself - and get your crayons out ;)
  • a_willow Jun 9, 2010 @ 4:19 pm | delete
I do enjoy coloring :) That is partly a reason I started a shop on Zazzle. Don't have enough time to do it manually so I ended with CorelDraw and digital design :) Although, something about coloring makes me feel calm. :)
  • foovay Jun 20, 2010 @ 9:36 pm | delete
I love creating the digital coloring pages - and coloring them, too. Many of them have found their way onto products in my Zazzle store. I know it's an oldie - but I love my PaintShopPro 9

What a great resource for coloring books for adults. I think coloring is a fun past-time for adults. Why should kids have all the fun? ;)

Thanks so much for the links! These are great. Im always looking for coloring books for adults. Im so possessive over them, my kids arent allowed anywhere near them, on threat of death! I remember as a child those detailed poster boards you color w/markers. occassionally I can find one on ebay, but they arent very popular these days. Although theyre a hit when I give them as gifts, so go figure! I own the Victorian Houses coloring book. Ive always loved architecture, particularly victorian & craftsman *havent found a craftsman coloring book, but found this one* http://www.amazon.com/Victorian-House-Coloring-Book/dp/048623908X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1272623700&sr=8-1#noop Speaking of architecture. I had a architecture/home decoration fashion plates as a child. I spent HOURS creating my own houses & rooms, then coloring them in. I wish they made them still, I guess I never grew up. Now I have some shopping to do thanks to you!

My inner child is going nutso right now. She has been nudging me to get a box of crayons - the one with all those interesting names for the colors and I have been ignoring her. But I will not be able to ignore her any more. She keeps yelling "foovay" in my ear. So this weekend I had to promise that I would go get some crayons. 5 colors and 1 bookmark so I can come back and get a coloring book to go with my new crayons. Great job. My inner child thanks you.

When I was a little kid I couldn't get enough of coloring books. I didn't know there were coloring books for adults. Maybe this big kid should get started again :) Great lens.

My grandmother would sit me up on books in a chair, and I would sit there for hours coloring when I was three years old! Great lens and 5*. I think it's great when adults still color. Thanks for dropping by Dragon Coloring Pages

Yes, older children and adults enjoy coloring, and they use coloring pages as patterns and inspiration for other crafts as well. Our secret is out ... but I prefer colored pencils to crayon 8-D. Lensrolled to "Coloring Fun for Adults" ... now I must go do some more drawing.
