Honestly, pink is not my favorite color. It's not my least favorite color, though, and it would be nice to have so information about the color "pink" handy. Pink is a color made of red and white, with other colors mixed in sometimes. Orange, magenta, and purple can be added for different tints of pink.

What pink stands for...

Pink is used to represent many things. The most well known is women. One of the main things that pink also represents in popular culture is breast cancer. It was chosen because it is commonly known as a women's color, and people would automatically associate pink with women. It is also used to represent other types of women's cancers.

Breast Cancer

October is national breast cancer month. Over 500,000 people die world wide each year of breast cancer. The largest breast cancer organization is the "Susan G. Komen for the Cure", formerly known as the "Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation". It was founded in 1982, and since then has donated over a billion dollars to breast cancer research.

Sound off!

I think that pink is traditionally a color that only women wear, and few men can pull off wearing pink without looking gay.

Is pink only acceptable for women to wear?
