Do you love color?
So, What's My Story?
So, the other day while browsing around Squidoo, I happened upon a link to a color combination site I had never heard of before. It was called COLOURlovers, a community of users creating, rating and giving "love" to other user's color palettes.
So, I decided to sign up so I could keep a collection of inspiring favorites to view later. I figured I needed the help! Sometimes I feel very color challenged. Little did I know that I was about to take a crash course in finally understanding how color works!
Within ten days, I had created 22 pallets (one of which is currently ranked #25 over all), named 58 colors, made 36 friends and I've given love to hundreds of palettes. I found this site to be more than addicting--it's a real community of fabulous people. And it's a way to get to know others by appreciating them. You simply have to come over and see what all the fuss is about. If you love color, you are going to adore COLOURlovers.

Shelly was one of the first people to befriend me on COLOURlovers. Besides being such a sweetheart, Shelly makes some really beautiful palettes! Her colors caught my eye the first day I was on COLOURlovers! This is one of my all time favorite (and most used) palettes of Shelly's called Sinful Decay. It hardly makes me think of sin! Here is a sampling of Shelly's top five palettes:

Rachel met her husband on COLOURlovers. How amazing is that! Being a person who also met her husband on a random Christian message board, I just love that. Rachel also makes some incredible palettes. I picked this one here, There Is No Way Out, because it was a little valentines-like. Here is a sampling of Rachel's top five palettes:

There's something that's so urban and funky about Jen's arraignment of colors in her palettes. I think her user name is perfect! It kinda sums up her style with just one word. Take this palette named Filler Paper here as an example. I think the combination of tan-ish greens, black and blue are just perfect. Here is a little sampling of Jen's top five palettes:

Sarah has an incredible eye for color combinations. This palette here, bijous dreamhouse is one of my personal favorites from her collection. Sarah's palettes are incredibly harmonious! Yes, I'm a big fan. Her color combos are so classic and timeless, how could I not be? Here is a sampling of Sarah's top five palettes (so that you can be a big fan of hers, too):

Lots and lots of people (over one hundred!) are a fan of faded jeans and her fabulous palettes. Just look at how nicely these colors blend together to make a harmonious whole. Here is one of my all time favorite palettes in her collection, Orange On Hiatus. As you can see, she has a real eye for beautiful color combinations. Great lens! I was going to do something like this, but now I don't have to! I am familiar with Colourlovers. It's probably the best of its kind out there. 5*s of course!
