Combat Relief

Ranked #1,585 in Nonprofits, #345,383 overall

Our Mission:

Combat Relief's mission is to improve the lives of service members, veterans and their families through focused funding of critical gaps in support, and by raising awareness of the value of such support.

What We Believe

Combat Relief believes a gap exists between the assistance available to veterans and the assistance needed.

When our nation commits to war, it must recognize and assist those among us most directly impacted by war's consequences.
Since the early nineties, sustained combat and humanitarian operations around the world have taken a unique toll on the one percent of America's sons and daughters who are our military.
Despite increased government attention, gaps remain that can only be quickly addressed by engaged citizens.
A nation cannot fully support its veterans if it does not understand their service. We must become more aware of our military and the effects of decades of war upon those who have served.

Grant Humanitarian Foundation and Combat Relief

Related?

The Grant Humanitarian Foundation facilitates collaboration and the flow of resources between our communities and established humanitarian organizations.

Combat Relief, the Grant Humanitarian Foundation's first program, provides grants to organizations supporting military service members, veterans and their families for the betterment of society.

By providing support to, and increasing awareness of, those who have sacrificed on our nation's behalf, Combat Relief contributes to the fulfillment of society's obligations to those who serve.

How We Are Different

Combat Relief identifies and supports high impact organizations addressing the consequences of contemporary conflict in underserved communities.

Donors' gifts will have great impact because they will facilitate the work of growing organizations.
Combat Relief's support will focus on established programs targeting the unmet needs of service members, veterans and their families.
By making grants to organizations already operating, rather than providing direct services itself, Combat Relief will expedite the improvement and/or increased provision of serivces to needy communities.
