Comcast Cable Internet: Are the Rumors Really True?

Some of you may be too young for it to have affected you much, but I remember when there were no computers in homes. GASP! Computers were in existence a long time before they ever made it into our homes. Now most of us wonder what we ever did without them. And boy, have they ever come a long way!

Unfortunately, some people are still living some years in the past. If you're an Internet user still dealing with a dial-up connection giving download speeds that are yawn-inspiring, my story will help you discover the lightening-fast difference that Comcast Cable Internet will make. You'll wonder how you ever survived on dial-up for so long.

Introducing "PowerBoost"

One of the first things I wanted to talk about is this technology Comcast Cable Internet offers called "Powerboost," which rockets your download speeds up to 12 Mbps!

I actually found a real-life speed test that shows just how fast this is. Check it out...

Now, if you don't know exactly what that means, it's okay. All you really need to know is that it's stupid fast. And they throw in McAfee security suite just to be nice.

Don't make the mistake of thinking all high speed Internet services are just alike. They're not, and if you don't do your homework, you'll get short-changed in both the speed of your Internet access and the money left in your pocket.

One of the best sites I found while doing my research to find the best deal on Comcast Cable Internet is right here (click on the link). These guys are offering an amazing deal right now (or were when I signed up - hurry up and check it out to see if it's still around). Plus, when you go there they'll show you how quick and easy it is to be able to download faster and enjoy music and videos without interruption. Pretty cool stuff.

Keep All the Mucky Muck Away

With some Internet access providers, you have to pay extra for, or provide your own, security software. I already mentioned the McAfee suite that Comcast includes with your subscription. This powerful system includes spyware protection, phishing fraud protection as well as a pop-up blocker. Having great Internet access is pointless if your computer is left vulnerable. Comcast makes sure you're protected. Click here to check this out as well.

If you're worried about installing Comcast Cable Internet by yourself, let me put your mind at ease. Insert a CD, follow the hook-up directions, and then follow the instructions on the screen. It's so simple your kid can probably do it. Maybe even faster than you can.

And Comcast doesn't limit your connection to one computer, your whole family can enjoy rapid downloads and a more enhanced gaming experience. Up to five computers or gaming consoles can be connected with their Home Networking System, and all of them can share files and a printer.

Here's My Favorite Part...

And now for one of my favorite features. How many pictures have you uploaded to your computer? Are they scattered all over in various files and folders? You can save time by managing them all with Photoshow, one of the many features that Comcast Cable Internet offers. I can honestly say that this is one of the most useful digital photo applications I've used in a long time. And it's FREE with your service. I love it.

Click here to find out more about Photoshow and all the other features that Comcast offers over and above a simple Internet connection. I think you'll be impressed.
