Do you own a Harley? Are you looking for a more comfortable seat? You've come to the right place. When I purchased my Harley, a 2005 Softail Deuce, i quickly learned that my back side would need much more comfort. Nothing wrong with the stock seat, it just wasn't what I needed at age 42.

After much research on internet forums and other places, I found a Sundowner seat for my Harley Deuce. Don't worry, it's a Harley part and even has HD on the side of the seat. Now, I can ride for ours and my butt doesn't become numb or sore.

This is the seat I put on my 2005 Harley Deuce. Now, my butt doesn't get numb or sore. It's easy to install and you won't be disappointed. It looks pretty good, but if you're like me, you don't mind sacrificing some looks for back side comfort.

Officially, this is the H-D Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat for Deuce 51112-00B and fits '00-'07 FXSTD (Deuce) models. The sea width is 14.0" and the passenger pillion width is 11.0". Please note that the sissy bar part on the back DOES NOT come with this seat.

Buy one today, and your butt will thank you. Mine thanked me! :-)

I love the Harley Softail Fat Boy. But, I don't like the seat because it's just not very comfortable.

According to a friend of mine, the stock seat on the Harley Softail Fat Boy isn't very kind to your back side. I would recommend you switch to a Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat for Fat Boy Models. This seat fits 2007 and later FLSTF, and FLSTSB. It also fits 2006 and later FXST, FXSTB, FXSTC and FXSTS models (except FXSTSSE3).

If you're butt is having trouble with the stock seat on your Harley Fat Boy, I would recommend you switch to one of these Sundowner seats like I did with my Harley Deuce. Again, your butt will thank you, just like mine thanked me.

Mustang Seat - Softail Wide Tire 200mm - Fat Boy FLSTF

This seat is a Mustang Seat, called a Softail Wide Tire 200mm, for the Fat Boy FLSTF - 2006 - 2009. It's a 15" sport solo design with a diver backrest only. Remember, this is a solo seat, so it does not have a 2up passenger seat, but it can be used with certain rear seats.

This seat will also fit the FLSTF Fat Boy 2007-2009 and the FLSTSB Cross Bones 2008 and 2009 Harleys. Some of my friends have told me that the Mustang seats are more comfortable than the Sundowner seats, but I find that hard to believe.

If your Harley Fat Boy is causing your butt to go numb, or causing you a lot of pain, you need to buy this Mustang seat. It's said to be very comfortable for long and short rides.

Okay, I'm not saying all stock Harley seats are uncomfortable. It seems the most comfortable seats are put on the touring bikes and other bikes are left out in the cold - maybe because the seat is supposed to look better than it feels? Regardless, I would like to know what you think. What's your experience with stock Harley seats on bikes other than the touring models?
