Why Soy in the Candle Arena?

I love the smell of a floral garden when I walk into my home in the spring - but in the fall the scent of a spicey apple pie suits my fancy. Each scent has it's season and that might vary by the person. Set the mood in your home or office with a candle - it can bring back memories from Grandma's kitchen or garden. It might remind you of that vacation in the tropics where you sat around the pool sipping "Sex on the Beach" - just by burning the candle of that scent. Lavender or the hint of mint might help you relax in that bubble bath or the gentle scent of Chocolate Mint will give you the scent of Girl Scout Thin Mints without the calories. A candle, by it's scent can take you on a mini-vacation in your own home.

Soy candles add to that good feeling by knowing you are using a product that is non-toxic, a renewable resource (soybeans) and does not put carcinogenes into the air when burned. If you trim the natural wicks to 1/4 inch before relighting these candles will burn without smoking. They definitely burn to the sides of the container (or we'd add more wicks) and all the way to the bottom. Most importantly - you still have that fantastic scent to the bottom of the jar.

We have numerous scents available in a variety of sizes. The soy wax burns at a low temperature, is non-toxic, can be cleaned up with hot soapy water, and is long burning. In the same burning conditions soy wax will burn 40 - 50% longer than a petroleum candle of the same shape and size. We encourage you to trim the wicks of candles to 1/4 inch before lighting as this eliminates smoking of the natural wicks. Our 4 oz wickless candles have been designed for placing on a hot plate type candle warmer for use where you do not want an open flame. The soy candles hold their fragrance to the bottom of the container and they burn to the sides of the jar. The wickless candles will hold their sent for up to 20 days of heating for about 6 - 8 hours a day.

Our Apothecary candles come in a 16 oz and 10 oz sizes. Each of these candles has two wicks to provide an even burning wax pool. The Heart shaped dish candle has three wicks and contains approximately 16 oz of wax. This makes a lovely centerpiece or coffee table candle. The 8 oz quilted Ball Jam Jars are our standby and a great value for the money. As mentioned before the 4 oz quilted Ball Jam Jar does not have a wick to meet the requirements of so many public buildings. Placed on a candle warmer they are a very safe way to enjoy the scent of candles with out the danger of a flame.
