what I really miss was the old style of drawing they use with marvel. the ones full of lines which looks dirty but dark and appealing. which unfortunately they don't seem to make anymore of. Thanks for sharing (wonder woman's the best here)

"Dennis "Denny" O'Neil is a comic book writer and editor, principally for Marvel Comics and DC Comics in the 1970s. His best works include Green Lantern/Green Arrow and Batman with Neal Adams, The Shadow with Mike Kaluta and The Question with Denys Cowan, all of which were hailed for sophisticated stories that expanded the artistic potential of the mainstream portion of the medium. As an editor, he is principally known for editing Batman. Batman has come a long way since the 1960's !
I still remember the night that the Batman Series was previewing on television. We had a black & white television (the only color television on the block was researved for the Sunday Night gathering to watch The World of Disney program).
My brother and I had been waiting for a month for the program. We counted down the days. On the night of the preview we were even more excited.
We sat in a trance in front of the television as the show started and I don't believe we missed a single episode for all of the first season.
"Zonk!"

became the language of the era.

- Hee. I went down around the convention center for the Distant Worlds concert that was happening on the water-- it was all the music of Final Fantasy performed by the San Diego orchestra -- and a lot of folks came out from ComicCon to attend the concert, so I saw some great cosplayers.

- Back in the eighties I was driving past a car lot with a fair for marketing; hot dogs, ponies, superheroes. One of my kids, and my, oft recalled memories is of Spider man jumping up and down along the sidewalk, and landing in the middle of a pony pie. His body language revealed what must have been his facial contortions under the mask. As we drove away, he stood there dejectedly, arms spread in disgust, shaking one foot in the air.
