P90X2The Core: This is where we start. The first 3 to 6 weeks. Building the core takes time and commitment. 5 to 6 days a week to break the cycle of bad habits and creating new ones. This is where you will build you core muscles: Abs, back, arm, and legs. Not bulk but strength, flexibility, agility, and endurance.

Strength training and muscle building is key to efficiently burning calories. Muscles are what burns the stored energy, FAT, in your body. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/metabolism/WT00006 The larger the muscles the more fat you will burn throughout the day.

Mixing up the workouts throughout the week will lead to more muscle building. Muscles are being torn down during the training and are rebuilding during the recovery. This is why you never do the same routine 2 days in a row. Doing the same routine over and over will cause your muscle to remember. This will keep the muscle from building. Doing a different routine everyday of the week will allow the muscle groups to recover properly before doing the same routines again the next week. These routines should be done over a 3 to 6 week period.
