Ways of communication and what to use

People communicate all the time by talking. They talk face to face, on the phone, through the internet, and they even communicate through mail by sending letters and cards. I am hoping that this lens can capture the many different ways that people communicate with each other and the means by which they use to do it.

A little about communication

From the very beginning there was communication. There are many different ways that people communicate with each other. Now a days you can even communicate with people all over the world with no problem. Many years ago people had to depend on either other people passing messages along to other people, letters, and telgrams. Now we have house phones, cell phones, internet, and we still have regualar mail. It is not unusual to see people everywhere walking around looking like they are talking to theirselves, but they actually have a cell phone connected to an ear peice to keep their hands free. I use to worry that when I had the radio on in the car and was singing along with it someone would think I was crazy or something. Now you can see people actually talking in their cars, and no one else be in there with them, they are talking to someone on their cell phone.

Phone videos

Here are a few videos about old phones and phoning. The last video (old folks and phone calls) does have some swearing in it, but the other ones are clean. Just to let you know.

Sign language

"A sign language (also signed language) is a language which, instead of acoustically conveyed sound patterns, uses visually transmitted sign patterns (manual communication, body language) to convey meaning-simultaneously combining hand shapes, orientation and movement of the hands, arms or body, and facial expressions to fluidly express a speaker's thoughts." From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. (You can purchase the poster below from Zazzle by clicking on the image).

I hate speaking on the phones - prefer real life communication. But I am really ifascinated by the evolution of the telephone itself. Somehow I ended up with a lot of products fdedicated to the phones in my zazzle store.
