Keep Doing Your Best

I am creating a series of lenses on the topic of "surviving and thriving as a small church pastor." I believe that being a small church pastor is a rewarding and exciting, but challenging life. It is the kind of pastoring that is pursued by most of the people around the world that serve as pastors of evangelical, charismatic and protestant churches.

He'll Take Care of the Rest

A person who has been a great influence on me was the late Keith Green. He has a song entitle "He'll Take Care of the Rest" the main line of which says, "keep doing your best and pray that it's blest and he'll take care of the rest". I have posted a video of it here. When you get discouraged take a look at and ask yourself if you are indeed doing your best. If you are you can trust Jesus to take what you offer Him and use it for his glory!

About Pastor_Bill

Hi and thanks for stopping by. I have been a pastor for over 25 years. During that time I served three different churches all of which have been under 120 in average attendance. I am the founding pastor of our current church. It is now over ten years old. We meet in a school cafetorium and set up for services each week. I have started this blog in hopes of connecting with other smaller church pastors, church planters and leaders. I hope that it will be a place of inspiration and encouragement to go the distance.
