Why satellite TV is doing better than cables?

If you have ever been in summer camp or in a country resort you may have had the experience of getting completely bored out of your wits without a TV. Especially if the place is outside city limits the question of good TV itself becomes preposterous and to imagine the clarity of the feed is even worse. The service is even poorer in rural areas and laying cable lines a massive task.

The option of providing cable connection without a cable line was monumental and most cable companies shun such works If you still believe this is the scenario you better wake up.

Cheaper and better TV entertainment

The hassles of intercity cables and crashes are no longer feasible for now dawns the age of satellite TV and all the old fashioned cable operators find themselves in a losing battle against this new technology that gives better options and service to the customers in the rural areas than they had ever received.

Alas there is no need to fear once you hear the word satellite. Once it was pictured as the huge costly receptors that cover the roof or lawn giving the entire house an alien looks. You need not worry that it would cost a year's savings and imagine it to be more costly than Cable TV. Last of all you need not be worried about the complexities of the whole system. There are modern companies like Direct TV and Dish Network, which have been providing entertainment facility not only to rural areas but are also going into the denser parts of every city in America.

You will be surprised to note that they are cheaper than the normal Cable TV and they easily provide a better picture and sound quality than the conventional Cable TV. The receivers are quiet small nowadays and can be easily installed in unseen locations like the roof corners and are camouflaged to make it completely invisible to a new visitor.

Rural area: The reason of cable TV's falls?

There are various advantages and it can be said that Direct TV and Dish Network literally own the rural areas. They have made their service available for anyone and the results are obvious on the apartments, country clubs and resorts.

Now cable TV is struggling to compete with such a giant of technology and the odds of the competition are futile. Cable TV could not afford to reduce prices to make it harder for the competitors from getting established. The newer and highly technological companies have been able to net millions of households without much of a competition like setting up an ice bar in the Sahara.

This fall of the cable market was caused mainly due to its lack of efforts to maintain standard of entertainment in the rural sectors and now they face a competition that is both economical and customer satisfying in their own region. There can be no competing the highly expensive satellite TV industry by the meager cable companies. The main reason for their success is by their services, quality and customer satisfaction which the cable company badly lacked.
