Compare Toyota Etios Liva and Maruti Swift

Toyota Kirloskar Motors which includes almost all segments cars in its Indian stable like sedan, SUVs, luxury SUVs, etc is now ready to enter in hatchback car segment with launching Toyota Etios Liva. As per expectations the car will be major competitor of Maruti Swift.

First of all the Toyota Etios Liva will come with 1.2L, MPFI, 4 Speed Manual Transmission petrol powertrain having four valves per cylinder. This 1.2L engine of the car can generate maximum power of 80 BHP. As per company claims, the engine will provide optimum fuel efficiency with robust performance. Whereas, the heart of Maruti Swift is equipped with 1.2L, DOHC and 5 Speed Manual Transmission System which enables it to generate the maximum power of 85 PS with peak torque of 113 NM. This engine is also stuffed with BS IV complaint emission level which makes the car eco-friendly. Besides, it offers high-octane mileage of about 14.4 km/l on city-roads and 18.1 km/l on highways.

The Toyota Etios Liva has been showcased at Auto Expo 2010, New Delhi. As per design cues it's retain aggressive appearance with high level interior comforts. Appearance, unique design of this car represents it as a next evolution car. Step inside, the car has large space and 5 passengers can sit easily. At a glance of dimensions, Toyota Etios Liva has the length of 3775 mm with an adequate width and height of 1695 and 1490 mm. Moreover, its long wheelbase makes it quite well balanced. Whereas, Maruti Swift is also having the competitive dimensions of 3760, 1690 and 1530 mm with the absolute wheelbase of 2390 mm.

The Toyota Etios Liva is expected to hit Indian roads with competitive price tag of Rs 3,50,000 whereas the Maruti Swift is running on the road with the affordable price tag of Rs 4,09,341,

Considering all above, we can say for a while that Maruti Swift is having worth to lead in this segment but still Toyota Etios Liva is to be hit the Indian roads and till then we can't make up-to-the mark predictions.
