Your lens is really complete, but maybe you've forgotten just one little thing: when my pc doesn't seem to work, I usually tell him (I'm sure it's a male, it's as slow as only men can be): "if you don't work the way I wish, I'm going to put you away and to buy a younger one with a looooonger memory". Usually it works.... ;-)

I have a laptop and have to defrag regularly. Most annoying when running slow and you what to leave a message like this.
Great info here to how to clean up your computer!

My laptop and I have a love - hate relationship. It loves to run as slowly as it possibly can, I hate to change any of the settings in case it case worse. Guess what... I'm opening Windows and letting the fresh breeze of a clean registry blow through. Thanks

Very cool info. I have been thinking about adding an outboard hard drive to clear up some space. Using FireFox rather than Internet Explorer has helped tremendously. I have a fairly affordable laptop (under 300) that I have had for three years. It still runs like the day I got it and it even has Vista. I know. That's amazing in and of itself.

I agree with micmun. WOT is great and Malwarebytes is highly recommended by my computer 'guru'. Good advice you have given here that everyone using a computer can use. ~`Blessed by a SquidAngel~~

There are a few apps that I use ( all from cnet.com ) to keep my computer tip top. They do not conflict with each other, and have served me well since I've been online. They are :
    Advanced System care.
Iobit Security 360 ( from utilities button on advanced system care, or cnet )
    CCleaner
    Malwarebytes
    WiseDisk cleaner
    AVG anti virus
Best of all there all free. Hope this helped. P.S. If you use firefox browser , be sure to download WOT from the firefox add-ons

I found I was keeping 1,000 of old emails - message sent, messages stored. All that text was taking quite a bit of space when I deleted it. "Empty the recycle bin" is a great reminder!

Oh, I forgot, CNET has great advice. I also cleaned up my Firefox and deleted add-ons that I do not use. This helped.

You might want to add adware and spyware. These are programs that run behind the scenes to get info of sites that you visit. There are good programs to get rid of these.
This is a very helpful lens and could save viewers a bit of cash.
