Conan - Who is Conan
Conan the Barbarian (also known as Conan the Cimmerian, from the name of his homeland, Cimmeria) is a fictional character typically associated with the fantasy world of swords and sorcery. He is without a doubt the most famous fictional barbarian, and indeed one of the most well known iconic figures in American fantasy, having countless stories between comics and books, two big screen productions, three (short lived) television series (two were animated), a line of Video Games, and numerous action figure series, along with other RPG (Role playing Games) merchandise.
Origins - the Origins of Conan
Originally, Conan was created by American writer Robert E. Howard in 1932 via a series of fantasy stories which were sold to Weird Tales magazine, a popular magizine at that time. In the Mid 50's Conan was brought back as Gnome Press began publishing some of Howard's work under the title "Conan the Barbarian". In 1970 Marvel Comics began publishing comics of the same title. Conan has appeared in comics nearly non-stop ever since.

This era occurs after the fall of Atlantis and before the mass genocide of the Irish Picts. Incedentally, "Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures" is the newest Conan Game to be Released. "Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) and the first ever to be released with a Mature Rating.

News and Speculation - the Conan Chronicles Continue
Newly released Conan merchandise is being constantly produced. Everything imaginable is available including Action Figures, Video Games, Role Playing Games, Comics, Novels, and Statues. Tentatively scheduled for a release of 2009, A new Conan Big Screen film is in the works.
