Floors Can Take A Beating
Floor coatings come in many different materials and formulations. Regardless of which type you use they all have the same general purpose, to protect your floor from permanent stains, making it water proof, and just evening it out for aesthetics.
Epoxy floor coating is the most widely used floor coating because of its powerful and simple formulation, protection, and application. Most industrial buildings use epoxy floor coating to provide a layer of protection from wear and tear on their cement flooring.
In areas where people are constantly walking around, or in a garage where cars are being parked, the scuff marks from their shoes and tires may leave unsightly marks all over the area but if the floor has the garage floor paint epoxy covering down these are no problem to remove.
By applying epoxy flooring coating or , a layer of Teflon like protection, you can more easily remove the scuff marks left by shoes rubber soles, oils, inks, dyes, or anything else that can "stain" the unprotected concrete or other flooring.

Protection For Your Precious Floors
On the concrete it can be impossible to remove stains, especially oil based products if left unprotected. If you can get it out it's usually time consuming and you may have to constantly remove them with a bleaching agent that will eventually take its toll on the concrete. If someone drops ink or dyes on the floor it can be impossible to remove- but with the concrete floor coating you don't have to worry about it. Even if it won't come out of the floor coating you can just get more epoxy floor coating and throw down a light layer, problem solved!
Epoxy floor coating is also used in most basements to protect the flooring for the long haul. Since there is often moisture in the basement, the floor covering (epoxy is basically painted on with a roller and dries into a protective, odor free, white matt (or glossy) finish) will protect it. Many people use this even on the walls in the basement to make them less susceptible to potential mildew and black mold developing.

Epoxy Makes A Great Floor Covering
Amongst the different types of floor protective coating, epoxy is one of the best most proven protections you can paint on. It's the most widely used type of protectorate used on industrial flooring and residential garage or basement floors. Some offices use it as well on their floors.
Epoxy has two main components- The first is the resin ingredients. This is a light odorless and clear component. The other half is the "hardener". This side has a definite strong odor and is very dark in color. This makes it match perfectly with the average concrete colors. The combination of these ingredients in just the right amount each causes a chemical reaction that makes the molecular bonds stronger and more reinforced. The mix is very pliable and in a semi-liquid state during mixing and pour/painting but as it dries the chemical bonds become more robust and durable.
