Confidence Building Games for Kids and Adults

One of the best ways to Build Self-confidence in kids and adults is through games that foster teamwork. Activities that include friends, co-workers, family, children etc. can be fun, as well as engaging during weekends, holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas etc.

Confidence and Self Esteem in an individual, can be measured with their ability to speak and act freely, without being too conscious about 'what' others will think about them. Games and fun activities can act as ice-breakers, especially during parties or other social gatherings and get-together's. Children who tend to be timid could often use a good laugh during play times with other kids and family members.

Selected below are an assortment of games and activity toys to choose from. All links are from AllPosters, Amazon or eBay and link directly to the sites. Wish you a happy and a confident time ahead!

Reviews: 6 (5 five stars; 1 four star)

Customer Review: This is a great little set of cards that we use when no one's talking at the table. They may not prompt long, drawn out conversations, but they get the kids talking which leads to other topics. Some of the questions are very basic (what's your favorite color) and some are more complex (if you were to develop a swimming pool, what would it look like). We keep it in the center of the table with the napkins and reach for it when we need a kick-start for the conversation.

Reviews: 9 (7 five stars; 2 four stars)

Customer Review: Anything that gets the family away from the tv for awhile is great. This game offers alot of fun for all ages (ours was 13-53.) We played this game quite a few years ago w/ my nephew and was so glad to find it at Amazon. It is really fast paced. You come up with words that have the letters on the cards before the bomb goes off. I like that it gets you thinking. This would be a good game to keep in a classroom to develop vocabulary.

Reviews: 5 (4 five stars; 1 four star)

User Review: Our family of four LOVES this game. My 10 year old requests it regularly, and her 12 year old sister also gets into it. From an educational standpoint, it encourages kids to use a thinking process, "what would a 5 year old's advice be?" and "what would my grandma suggest?", as well as best and worst. It gets them to think a bit outside of themselves, which is healthy :) We always have good laughs too, as some of the suggestions are hilarious. I highly recommend this for both mixed groups of kids or adults.

User Review: Played this game with young adults between 20 to 35 and also with teenagers between 13 to 19 years old. The more creative you are, the better the game. How well do you know each other and laugh with it? Bonding comes through affirming your understanding of the other people or learning how much you relate to people in the group. Clean and fun for all ages.

Reviews: 21 (16 five stars; 5 four stars)

User Review: The first time I played this game was with my co-workers at Happy Hour and then again with my family members on our summer vacation at the beach house.

Although we were already close and "thought" we knew a lot about each other-this game only made us closer. I don't remember laughing as hard as I did once secrets started to become revealed. The next morning at breakfast, no one could even make eye contact without laughing!

User Review: I have to admit, I was a little sketchy at first and almost didn't buy XXXopoly, but I must say, I am glad that I did. My husband and I had a blast playing this game and it most certainly brought us closer together. Unlike other sex games, XXXopoly seemed to have a lot of unique activities that really pushed the limits on our "normal routines". I think the best part is we didn't even get through half of the special cards so we are really looking forward to the next time we play. I would recommend this game to any couples that are looking to spice things up a bit!

Reviews: 157 (141 five stars; 13 four stars)

User Review: I'm 45 years old and can't believe I never heard of this game before playing it with some neighbors recently. We had so much fun (my wife, kids - ages 15 and 17, and five adults) that I ordered the game immediately from amazon. I noticed that a lot of people in the reviews gave the game low reviews with reference to education; but I think the game does involve quite a few skills that kids need to develop to live in the real world - logic, initiative, decision making, negotiation, trading/bartering, and the value of money - not bad for a quick paced and fun game to play! I look forward to many more games in the future with family and friends and introducing this game to many people like me who have never even heard of it.
