Drafting: Calculators Are Our Friends:)
Being in the AutoCAD industry for over a decade now, I can honestly say that have a trust worthy calculator nearby is a huge time saver. However, it amazes me that many draftsman (CAD operators) only use standard calculators and not the ones that are specialized in their field. Imagine a plumber without a wrench. That would be crazy, so as much has a draftman without the proper tools.

There are all kinds of calculators out there. I personally use a Construction Master Pro series calculator, mainly because I work with Architectural stuff more than anything else. This calculator lets me add, subtract, multiply, and divide (among many other things) fractions, feet, inches, sq. ft., stairs, risers, roof pitches, areas, and more.
