I have done the research for the best toys for my little boys. My Grandsons love trucks, bulldozers, cranes--any vehicle you see on a construction site!

I have spent many hours researching the best construction site toys. All the best construction toys I have listed here are highly rated by users. Thank you for visiting my toy gift guide.

This particular gift guide is a spin off from my page Top Ride On Toys for Three Year Old Boys. I have three grandsons who inspire my search for toys. I also have two granddaughthers who are always giving me ideas, as well.

CAT toys are terrific. I have bought this brand for my boys every Christmas for the last 2 years and they are still being played with constantly. Of course, the vehicles are beat up, but they are still rumblin'. Highly recommended as one of my best toys.

Nana (the other grandmother) bought the Tonka Mighty truck for our grandsons (ages 3 and 15 months)! It is a tough toy that will last. My grandsons fight over who gets to play with this truck. It has been left outside in the rain; filled with dirt and rocks and is still in great condition. You cannot go wrong with this "best toy"!

Can you tell that I really like and trust Tonka toys? Why? That particular brand has been around since I was a child--that is a very long time indeed.! In fact, I just learned that Tonka has been around since 1947. FYI: "tonka" means great in Souix.

Have you ever taken your grandsons to Lowes or Home Depot. They have craft time for kids. My kids made binoculars. They had hammers and nails with their little aprons on. It was so fun.

Bass Pro Shops also have some interesting workshops for kids, too. My grandsons made a birdhouse. That would be considered "construction" wouldn't it?
