Contax - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The history of Contax, its all here, there,s no point in reinventing the wheel However I would question the statement over Zeiss lenses, That the difference between AE and MM was the extra programs functions delivered. It has been muttered that there was a change in the T* coating, giving the AE a slight colour profile than the MM lenses.

Yashica Cameras

Yashica SLR cameras are really pretty much past their usefulness with one exception the FXD which was Yashicas version of the Contax 139. Great camera, wonderful build. But no DOF preview. However The Yashica 124G twin lens reflex and Yashica rangefinders are a different matter.
What we are really interested in is the optics for the SLR's, Built extremely well, and very good, The one thing that people comment on is the colour, It is this that attracts me to yashica and more specifically Contax. Zeiss magic in the form of their coatings has im sure trickled down to the Yashica cameras.
