Contemporary Garden Design in the Home Garden.

As of the turn of centuries from the 20th to 21st, it's contemporary to choose styles for the house and garden  from a myriad of styles that have been around from decades to centuries, both formal and informal, both eastern and western. The Classic styles are contemporary and you have great choice.  However since most people do not have gardeners on staff, low maintence in any style is of prime importance.  This eclecticism of historical styles used in the home garden are greatly evidenced in such magazines as Garden Design,  Architecural Digest, and Southern Living, however if you ride through the surburbs of America, your eyes see only bland, sterile pictures of tragic proportion, instead of Good Contemporary Garden Design of the home garden.  Few plants are planted in borders to enframe the house , but hiding the foundation as if most houses were built high off the ground like in the 1890's until the 1920-s.  At this dawning of the 21st century, you find are a great number of plants mangled by pruning shears looking like a platoon of soldiers standing at attention.  Instead of people choosing from this smorgasboard of classic garden styles that could be a reflection of their personality type, which would give our nation a visual richness, not unlike the Garden of Eden, instead of visual chaos.
