Hi Bakerly. I'm Sami. I joined Squidoo yesterday & have written a lens, but it says that it's a WIP,& I need to work on it to make it more attractive. Now I think that I've made it as much attractive as I can make. Would you please take a look at it & suggest me how to make it featured? And I've one more question. Will all the new lenses be a WIP every time I publish a new one?

Here's the link to my lens :

Is it possible to combine lenses? I have two that are so similar that I'd like to make them one lens, now that I'm beginning to get the hang of this! Thank you for all your helpful advice.

I'm guilty of pressing the publish button before I spell check but I am getting better at it. Thanks for the resource links on improving lens content. I think I need to brush up on my grammar.

I would like to ask you a question about my intro module in my latest lens on "Saint Valentine's Day: Teaching Your Kids To Be Lovers" (no spam, nor either shameless promotion, I really DO want an honest opinion). You can find the lens at http://www.squidoo.com/saint-valentine-day-for-kids . Of course, I have already read about Introductions at SquidBlog, but I'm still undecided. You see, I included a paragraph in the intro which seems like being a little off-topic, and I wouldn't want to commit such an error. On the other hand, it is not really irrelevant (or, at least, I think so), as it is used for example's sake; PLUS I intend to use it later on to link to a future lens on St Nicholas. What I want from you is to take a look at it and tell me if the said paragraph sticks out badly, or if the intro flows smoothly, or... well, anything else you can think of. Thanks a lot. I'll be waiting for your answer.

Helenee~ It all depends on what you want to get from the lens. If the message you have in the opening paragraphs is important to you, leave it. On the other hand, you have to think about what you want Google or any other search engine scanning your page will think it's about. If you're worried the opening paragraph is off topic, you can always move it down in the lens so you don't confuse the search engines. In the end it's entirely up to you! If you don't think the paragraph flows into the rest of the lens, maybe it's a good excuse to make a second lens on a similar topic, and link the two together.

Barkely, thank you so much for the advice. I will certainly take it into serious consideration - after all, I know that my intro needs some optimization for Google and I w.i.l.l do that. One thing I'd really want to have is your opinion as a h.u.m.a.n reader: does the little digression bother you as you read along, does it confuse you in any way, or does it help get my perspective through? Thanks again :-)

    Barkely,

I need some help adding a citation to my lens. Does the lens have an "app" for that or do I do it manually?

    thx
